Outlook: Solid Republican

November 8, 2006 Update:

Senator Richard Lugar (R) won reelection with 87% of the vote.

Republican Senator Dick Lugar is on the ballot, and the widely respected legislator will have no trouble winning again, as he has regularly since 1976.

The most promising possible Democratic candidate, former Congressman and 9/11 Commission member Tim Roemer has decided not to run, and, most likely, all other prominent Democrats will take a pass as well.
