(CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA) – The University of Virginia Center for Politics will host Margaret Brennan, moderator of CBS News’ Face the Nation, at a public forum on Wednesday, April 10.
At the event, Center for Politics Director Larry J. Sabato will interview Brennan about the role of the media and its relationship to the presidency and Congress. Brennan will also take questions from the audience.
The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Garrett Hall’s Great Hall, 235 McCormick Road on the Grounds of the University of Virginia. It is free and open to the public with advanced registration. Members of the media are welcome to attend.
Brennanis a 2002 graduate of the University of Virginia. Prior to joining CBS News, Brennan was an anchor and reporter for Bloomberg Television and a correspondent for CNBC.
Wednesday’s forum is part of “Democracy in Perilous Times: Unprecedented Challenges and Controversies,” an ongoing program series organized by the Center for Politics and the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy for the 2018-2019 academic year as part of the National Symposium Series.
