Senator Bernie Sanders Speaks at Center for Politics Forum

Vermont senator will be interviewed by Center Scholar Robert Costa of CBS News

(CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA) – Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a prominent Senate committee chair, progressive leader, and former presidential candidate, will be interviewed by acclaimed political correspondent Robert Costa at a Center for Politics event on Thursday, March 2.

The conversation will take place at Old Cabell Hall on the Grounds of the University of Virginia starting at 8 p.m. Sanders, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 and 2020, will discuss his forthcoming book, It’s OK to Be Angry About Capitalism, with Costa, the Chief Election and Campaign Correspondent for CBS News and a Center for Politics scholar. The book is scheduled for release on Feb. 21; it will be available for purchase before and after the event, while supplies last.

Tickets for the free event will be available through the Arts Box Office starting on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at noon.
